e.g. Jed Bartlett, P. Diddy & Marion Barry

Where to start...

I'd like to begin by saying that I will continue to watch my President every Wednesday evening at 9 pm, on NBC. His name is Jed Bartlett. I can pretend, can't I?

It's pretty telling when the District of Columbia overwhelmingly votes for John Kerry in 2004, as they did for Al Gore in 2000. They don't even want Junior.

I am happy that Kerry conceded as quickly and as classy as possible. Too bad he wasn't that heartfelt while he was campaigning. My hope is that Ohio and all the other states that had voting "issues" will continue counting votes and figuring out what the problems are. People need to know that their vote counts and, election results aside, it is important to have a final tally.

What does gall me is, where will all the celebrities be next year, when there is no presidential election, but there are local elections. Or in 2006 when the house and some senate seats are available? Vote or Die, my ass, P.Diddy, Puff Daddy, Sean Coombs, or Sean John--whatever your name is! You better be out there every year, but you won't.

Kerry lost. How can we keep Junior from appointing conservative judges to the Supreme court? We can make sure not to lose anymore spots in our Legislative Branch--maybe even get some back! Two years until the House and the rest of the Senate turn over. We may lose one Judge, but let's not loose 4-5.

I am moving to DC soon and have told my husband that as much as he'd like to live in the city, especially the Capitol Hill area, I can't live that close to Junior, I can't live in a place that keeps electing Marion Barry, and there is no way in hell I am moving to the red state of Virginia.

House hunting this weekend. Details to follow.
